YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION MAY BE PROCESSED IN THE COUNTRY WHERE IT WAS COLLECTED AS WELL AS OTHER COUNTRIES (INCLUDING THE UNITED STATES) WHERE LAWS REGARDING PROCESSING OF PERSONAL INFORMATION MAY BE LESS STRINGENT THAN THE LAWS IN YOUR COUNTRY. BY UPLOADING PERSONAL INFORMATION TO THE SERVICE, YOU WARRANT THAT YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO TRANSFER SUCH INFORMATION OUTSIDE YOUR COUNTRY AND INTO THE UNITED STATES.
Children’s Privacy
The Service is specifically designed for Enrollees who are under 18 years of age and it is intended to be used under the explicit guidance and supervision of a parent or guardian who has agreed to this Privacy Policy on behalf of the child. By signing the Parental COPPA Notice and establishing an account for your child, you are giving your consent for us to gather, use, and disclose your child's Personal Information as outlined in this policy. We insist that you support your Enrollee in utilizing the Services to ensure you can supervise the Personal Information that they share.
Personal Information we Collect
As part of offering our Services, we will gather specific information that can identify you and your affiliated Enrollees, referred to here as "Personal Information". This happens when you set up an account on our Service or register your child for classes, at which point you may voluntarily share certain details about yourself or your child. These details could include name, username, email address, city, state, demographic details (such as date of birth, age, gender, etc.) and any other data you choose to share with us. If you reach out to us, we also gather records and copies of your communications, including email addresses. Should you access the Service via a mobile device, you may opt to share location data with us. We handle all Personal Information with the utmost confidentiality and employ it only to provide the Services, as directed by you, or as detailed in this Privacy Policy. More specifics follow.
Information We Collect from Children
We strictly refrain from gathering Personal Information from any child under the age of 13 without confirmed parental consent from their parent or guardian. During registration, you'll be required to submit Personal Information about the Enrollee such as their name and your email address at info@kidscoders.io. We may also ask further profile questions related to their utilization of our Services. By submitting any Personal Information regarding a child under 13 years old to the Service, you affirm that you are the parent or guardian of the child and possess the full right and authority to share the information. If you suspect that we have collected any information from a child under 13 years old in contradiction to this Privacy Policy, please reach out to us at info@kidscoders.io.
When interacting with our Services, Enrollees might have the option to upload certain content to a publicly accessible classroom message board. This may include Personal Information, pictures, or location data that could be used to identify your child. We strictly prohibit your child from uploading such information to the classroom message board, but we may not consistently monitor the message boards to ensure that Enrollees are adhering to this rule. The quantity and nature of Personal Information that Kids Coders collects from Enrollees are contingent on the extent of their engagement with the Services. Children must avoid posting Personal Information, and if they follow this guideline, Kids Coders will not gather any Personal Information directly from your child. If you believe your child may have shared Personal Information with the Services without your knowledge or consent, kindly email us at info@kidscoders.io and we will remove the information.
Website Access Information and Use of Cookies
WEBSITE ACCESS INFORMATION
Similar to most website operators, Kids Coders Academy, collects non-personal identifying information that web browsers and servers typically disclose, such as browser type, language preference, referring site, and the timestamp of each visitor request when visitors use the Service. Kids Coders' aim in collecting non-personal identifying information is to gain a deeper understanding of how its visitors interact with the Service. Occasionally, Kids Coders might release non-personal identifying information collectively, for example, by issuing a report on Service usage trends. Furthermore, Kids Coders collects potentially personal identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses and may gather statistics regarding visitor behavior on the Service. For instance, Kids Coders might monitor the Service to help identify spam. We may also use these technologies to accumulate data about your online activities over time and across third-party Services or other online platforms (behavioral tracking).
Beyond log data, we may gather details about the device you're using to access the Service. This could include the type of device, operating system, device settings, device identifiers, and crash data. The range of information we collect is often contingent on the type of device you're using and its settings. To find out more about what information your device shares with us, please check the policies of your device manufacturer or software provider.
We do not automatically collect Personal Information. However, we may associate this data with Personal Information about you that we obtain from other sources or that you supply to us.
COOKIES AND WEB BEACONS
Like numerous Services, our Service uses "cookies" to gather information. A cookie is a piece of data that a website saves on a visitor's computer, and that the visitor's browser provides to the website each time the visitor returns. Kids Coders may use cookies to help identify and track visitors, their interaction with the Service, and their website access preferences. Visitors who prefer not to have cookies placed on their computers should configure their browsers to refuse cookies prior to using our Service, although this may result in certain Service features not functioning as intended without the support of cookies. Some features of our Service may use local stored objects (or Flash cookies) to collect and store information regarding your preferences and navigation to, from, and on our Service. Flash cookies are not managed by the same browser settings used for regular browser cookies.
Certain pages of our Service may contain minor electronic files known as web beacons (also referred to as clear gifs, pixel tags, and single-pixel gifs). These allow Kids Coders, for example, to tally the number of users who have visited those pages and gather other related website statistics (such as noting the popularity of specific website content and validating system and server integrity).
